Life is too short to be dragged down by things that make you unhappy.
How much time and energy have you wasted in the last 6 months wondering why people act the way they do or how they have treated people? Who knows how much time we have on this planet so don’t waste it on people who don’t deserve it.
You can’t control other people no matter how hard you try.
Sometimes people behave in a way they aren’t aware of and sometimes they know exactly what they are doing and go ahead anyway. People like that will not listen to reason or common sense so don’t waste your time or energy trying to change them.
It makes you feel empowered.
There is no better feeling than walking away from something/someone that is getting in your way and making you unhappy. Once those dramas are out of the way and no longer dragging you down, you feel EPIC!
So you can move on and be happy.
If you spend your time worrying about other people, their drama, their motivation etc etc then you can forget about your own. Shake it off and be happy!
Give your fucks to something worthwhile.
We’ve all heard the phrase “Zero Fucks Given” and as I get older I find myself sweating the small stuff less and less. I’ve let go of a lot of the people or situations that I found myself in that were damaging my calm. Instead find a good cause and put your energy into it. I am a supporter of Flex Appeal and Pregnant then Screwed and the amazing work they are doing to encourage flexible working for all and equality for pregnant and new mothers.
Swearing is a proven stress relief, and sometimes a “FUCK IT” is just want you need!
